Mariachiara Di Giorgio was born in Rome in 1983. She studied visual arts at the IED in Rome and then studied in Paris at ENSAD, École nationale supérieure des Arts Décoratifs. Her picture books, Profession crocodile and La Nuit de la fête foraine (both with Les Fourmis Rouges) won Sorcières Prizes (books selected by bookstores) in 2018 and 2022.
